Practices.
Choose an experiment that fits today. You can adapt it, leave it unfinished, or simply read the story.
On attention: The space a bowl keeps
Leave ten minutes unassigned between two things you expect to do tomorrow. Afterwards, make one note: what found its way into the gap? ‘Nothing’ is a perfectly good answer.
On judgment: Before you send
Read your next ambiguous message once without composing a reply. Pick one detail you actually need. Ask for that detail in a sentence you would be comfortable saying aloud.
On craft: A place to begin
Choose one thing you want to learn. Set out the materials for its first movement. When you come back, notice whether you can tell what to do without making another plan.
